This pretty box was made with 2 digital images from Sugar Creek Hollow. I used one of my personal favorites, the butterfly from the Insect tiles set. The other one that I used was the new release quote from Henry David Thoreau. I measured the top of my box and then printed the tile to fit just perfect. Then I trimmed out just the butterfly on some darker blue paper and folded his wings up so that it looks like he's really flying. There are some sequins on his body and stickles on his wings. I thought the quote was very pretty with this insect tile. Next, I measured the sides of the box and cut out 4 side panels which I embossed with a Cuttlebug folder. The matte for the quote was made with a Spellbinders label die. I placed a few sequins below the quote to tie it in with the butterfly. The last thing that I did was to wrap a satin ribbon around the center of the box and a crocheted ribbon around the top. Oops, actually the button was last. : ) Since there had to be a seam where the ends of the ribbon met I decided to cover it with a coordinating button. I hope this gives you some ideas of how you can spruce up a formerly plain container.
